It's a summertime staple - the recreation room. Whether it's in a home, at a park, inside a hotel or part of a school, people love spending the warmer days in game and rec rooms - especially if they're air-conditioned. In order to keep the games and machines working well, use WD-40 to:

  • Stop squeaks on and lubricate sliding foosball table scoring bars
  • Shine pool cues
  • Reduce friction on air hockey table surfaces
  • Protect metal darts from rust
  • Lubricate metal joints on folding ping pong tables
  • Stop squeaks on cabinet doors

Many summer days are spent enjoying the outdoors while participating in sporting and other activities. As extreme sports become more popular, people across the country are realizing these sports can be entertaining, exciting and good physical activity. Many extreme sports require unique equipment, which must be kept in tip-top shape in order for you to stay safe and have a blast.

WD-40 can help maintain this equipment and should have a place in the toolbox or gear bag of every extreme sports enthusiast. Try WD-40 to:

  • Help remove old grip tape from skateboard decks
  • Lubricate carabiners before starting up a mountain for a rock-climbing excursion. Be sure to wipe excess WD-40 from carabiners before use
  • Prevent corrosion on winches, weights and pulleys used in free diving
  • Keep mud from sticking to dirt bikes used in big air competitions
  • Remove old sponsors' stickers from stunt bikes used in half-pipe competitions
  • Maintain mountain bike derailleurs
"We found a number of toys that we moved from New Hampshire to Arizona were exposed to excessive moisture while at the storage facility immediately prior to our move. Our grandson was heart-broken that several of his toys were not operable because of the rust build up on the wheel bearings. That problem was soon fixed with the use of WD-40 and some elbow grease. Thank you, WD-40. I do not know if anything else would have solved the rust problem and made our autistic grandchild happy with his toys again."
