A SportsLore Thank-You

If I didn't know better I would think Jen and Chef Mike had a fix in place. Look at this years picks. At one time Jen was over fourteen games behind Chef Mike in picking winners. However, this is how it ended up. Jen during the regular season had managed to pick 132 games correct, 114 wrong, and then 11 annoying ties. Remember this is with the point spread playing a factor.

Chef Mike ended his regular season with 129-117-11. Jen came from behind to squeak by on the season picking more games correct. The post season proved more difficult.

Jen went five and six, Chef Mike seven and four. Add it up Jen ended the football season a whisker ahead of Chef Mike. Her stats, pick wise, added up to 137-120-11. The Chef's 136-121-11. Nobody could have predicted this at the start of the football season. Last year Chef Mike was ahead by far. Jen studied, and the results are clear. She won!

Both Jen and Mike hit over .500 in picking the correct winners. No matter how you count the ties, as a loss or not at all, they got more right then wrong. Next year will be the tie breaker for them. Of course all comers are welcome to join this friendly competition. You just have to be willing to take on one heck of a lady and one heck of a chef. Not to mention guy.

Remember you, or your team, will be picking all games each week for the season. Not easy to do. Care to try? Contact me Mike Toone through this website. Leave an e-mail address and I will send information plus remind you when the time comes.

Meanwhile, Sports Lore thanks Jen and Mike for being the sports, players, and sharing their football instincts with us. We appreciate it.

Till next year,
Mike Toone
