From the kitchen of Laura Peters, and our thanks for making us hungry!

Easy Southern Apple Appetizer

I invented this for an emergency appetizer at a last-minute get-together and it was quite successful.

What you need:
4 large golden delicious apples
Skillet (flatter than a frying pan)
Cinnamon
Caramel topping (Smuckers squeezable)
Toothpicks
Margarine
Paper towels
Flat serving dish such as Corningware
Apple slicer, knife
Big fork

What to do:
Peel and slice apples long-ways.
Add coat of margarine to skillet, let heat.
Fry (at low heat) apple slices on all sides until slightly brown.
Remove from skillet, drain on paper towels.
Put apples in flat dish (Corning, for example).
Squeeze generous coat of caramel topping over top, mix.
Sprinkle with cinnamon.
Use big fork to separate slices and place neatly on dish.
Insert tooth picks after letting cool for about 5 minutes.

Seafood Appetizer
People liked this one too.  Thanks to Jean for the idea.

What you need:
Box of Mueller's big shells (like for stuffed shells)
3 pounds of deli seafood/shrimp salad (shrimp is better)
Olive oil
Fork
Colander
Pan
Long flat serving dish

What to do:
Bring water to boil, add olive oil (few drops).
Boil shells, drain.  Remove shells from strainer and sit in serving dish, allow to get COLD.
Fill each shell with salad and refrigerate until time to serve.

Easy Banana Cream Pie
This is an old recipe that I haven't used since Maggie was a kitten and she stuck her face in it when I vacated the kitchen momentarily.  Nothing wrong with the recipe, just keep away from pets.

What you need:
Keebler ready-made graham cracker pie crust
Quart of vanilla or (even better) 'banilla' (banana-vanilla) yogurt
3 ripe bananas
Can of whip cream
Knife and spoon
Tin foil

What to do:
Fill crust with entire contents of yogurt container.
Slice bananas into round chips.
Add bananas to crust and lightly mix in with yogurt.
Freeze one hour, covered in Reynold's (tin wrap).
Remove from freezer, remove foil and add generous helping of whip cream.
Thaw for 15 minutes, serve.
