Letters From The Grandstand

Hello, AFL fans and former players:

You may know that the first comprehensive web site about the American Football League was Robert Phillips' aflfootball.tripod.com, which unfortunately was discontinued.

Now, Phillips has restored his pages at a new site. It includes his version of an AFL 50th Anniversary logo, shown below, and he has added information that has been hard to find: dates, scores and sites of all AFL exhibition games.

You can see my link to Phillips' site. This is a great tribute to the AFL in its 50th year.

Please also look at some new graphics for the individual teams on my main page and others on the individual team pages, including the teams' 50th year logos, for those released so far. Also, see the logos page for some new logos, and the 1960 logos of the Original Eight.

In other news, I'm sorry to report that Ode Burrell (Oilers' flanker, 1964 - 1969) passed away on February 28. You can read his obituary, and his 1968 Topps football card.

Also, please visit the AFL Trading Post to see if you have any memorabilia that anyone may want, or vice versa.

Regards,

Ange Coniglio
