Movies are like chicken wings, sports, songs and nights out. Everyone has their own favorite. A reader wrote us with her feelings on the upcoming Oscar awards. Ok... I am really aggravated. I'm boycotting the Oscars because neither Elijah Wood nor Sean Astin received a nomination. I'm sorry, but Astin stole the show as Sam. Deltoro has already received a nomination and won it in previous years for Traffic. What, the Academy doesn't like Patty Duke or her kid? Bah! Pass this on to everybody you know. None of us will be watching or endorsing the Oscars at ALL. I'm sick of the favoritism and quite frankly, their general lack of ability for recognizing true talent at the Academy. I think we should all storm them with letters. I was happy to see Johnny Depp nominated, but then where was Orlando's nomination for EITHER Turner or the Legolas role? BOOOOO HISSSSSSSSS Academy. Not only that, but where is Tobey Maguire's nomination for Seabiscuit and Jeff Bridges too? These IDIOTS don't know what they're doing.
