In 1974 Cleveland had a Ten Cent Beer Night that attracted a lot of fans. Well it emptied the bars that night, and filled the stadium. Sadly it was a bad idea never again done, anywhere. It seems that in the ninth inning Cleveland fans were so overjoyed, or over served, they forgot the game was not over yet. In their joy they rushed onto the field forgetting the Fat Lady was still singing.

The game was now over, and Cleveland forfeited the game to the Texas Rangers. Who says fans are not a big part of a win or loss? Even those that weave, and slur words, play a role.
