Pensacola, Florida

He may be 34, but he's not giving up on his dream of being a professional baseball player.

John Henry Williams – the son of late Hall of Famer Ted Williams – signed with the Southeastern Cloverleafs Wednesday.

However, he didn't play Thursday in what would have been his first game since joining the itinerant minor league team.

Williams is perhaps best known for his legal fight to have his father's body frozen.

He says more than anything else, he's now looking for his first professional hit and a chance to succeed.

Williams' new sign-up with the Cloverleafs is one of several attempts he's made at a pro career.
