Mario "Goose" Gosselin was born
in Thedford Mines, Québec on June 15, 1963. He
was Québec Nordiques's 3rd choice (55th overall)
in 1982 entry draft. After seven years with the Nordiques,
Mario played with the Kings for the 1989-90 season appearing
in 26 games with a record of 7-11. He was later acquired
by the Hartford Whalers, September 4, 1991.
Since being forced to retire due to knee
problems after the 1992-93 season, Mario has done radio
and television analysis on the Roadrunner games (the
Kings IHL affiliate). Mario, his wife Josee and children
Frances and Yanic now reside in Phoenix.

Played junior with the Shawinigan Cataractes (QMJHL).
Member of the Canadian Olympic team, 1984.
Named on the QMJHL Second All-Star team, 1982.
Played in the NHL All-Star game, 1986.
Currently he works with EHE youth hockey
schools in Lapraire, Québec giving seminars in
July and August about being a goal tender.
