Jocelyn Marcel Guevremont was born March
1, 1951 in Canada and wasted little time in becoming
known in the world of hockey. While many could not spell
his name, they certainly knew who he was. His playing
days are as follows:
1968 – 1970 Canada’s OHA Montreal Junior
Canadians
1971 – 1975 NHL Vancouver Canucks
1975 – 1979 NHL Buffalo Sabers
1979 – 1980 AHL New Haven Nighthawks
1979 – 1980 NHL New York Rangers
Along his playing career way he was the
Memorial Cup Winner in 1969 – 1970.
Warming up he became the OHA’s MVP defenseman,
top scoring rear guard and First Team All Stars in 1971.
This led to him the first amateur selection
in 1971 by the Canucks.
When he retired he had played in 571 NHL
games scoring more then 10 goals in four of those seasons.
He also appeared in the 1974 edition of the NHL All-Star
Game. The first time the Canucks had two players representing
them in the game. Joining Mr. Guevremont was right winger
Bobby Schmautz.
Jocelyn Guevremont is in the Vancouver
Canucks Hall of Fame.
Today Jocelyn stays active in youth hockey
and public speaking appearances. His last known contact
